Nella notte dell’11 dicembre a Los Angeles si sono celebrati i VideoGame Awards, evento annuale organizzato da Spike Tv nel quale vengono premiati i migliori videogiochi dell’anno suddivisi in varie categorie e che dà alle software house l’occasione di presentare i propri lavori rimasti segreti fino ad allora o mostrare materiale inedito su giochi già attesi sul mercato. Il presentatore di quest’anno è stato Zachary Levi, protagonista della serie tv Chuck, che ha accolto sul palco tra i tanti una leggenda come Shigeru Miyamoto, attuale amministratore e direttore generale del Nintendo Entertainment Analisys and Development (EAD) nonchè uno dei nomi più importanti che potreste mai sentire parlando di videogiochi in quanto creatore di Donkey Kong, Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Starfox ed un’infinità di altri titoli che hanno reso grande la Nintendo.
Passiamo però direttamente all’aspetto importante di quest’evento: i vincitori. Di seguito trovate i candidati che hanno concorso per aggiudicarsi i premi di quest’edizione dei VGA, il vincitore è evidenziato in rosso.

Personalmente non ho mai dato troppo peso a queste votazioni, raramente vincono giochi meritevoli, l’esempio perfetto è Modern Warfare premiato come miglior sparatutto o il fatto che i vincitori siano quasi sempre americani, ma quest’anno credo sia evidente come il livello qualitativo sia andato calando nell’ultimo periodo. Tra i candidati tolto qualche titolo su cui non si può discutere (Uncharted, Batman, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Zelda) tutti gli altri li vedo come i “meno peggio” della loro categoria. Voi che ne pensate? Dimenticavo, il gioco più atteso del 2012 è in assoluto The Last Guardian.
