Con Momo non lo si è visto. CC potrebbe essere utile a Sanji se la sua intenzione è andare a distruggere le scorte di quel gas. Può averlo obbligato a dargli una mano sfruttando “the heart in the box”. :sisi:

Chopper says the country was destroyed by Caesar’s weapons. Duke Inuarashi sees Brook and starts drooling. Brooks notices and panics. Wanda tells the Duke that Brook is also one of their saviors. The Duke replies that he’s a delicious-looking savior. Wanda says that it’s not good for the Duke’s health to have at Brook (and making a touching pun). He can do it later, but Brooks still protests.

Robin briefly recaps how Caesar produces, Doflamingo sells, and Kaido receives the weapons. Luffy gets angry about Caesar.

The Duke changes the topic from the loss to Luffy’s hat. He says it looks good on him. The Duke begins to talk about the more distant past. Wanda reminds him about master Cat-Viper and how the Shanks had a hat like that. Luffy interrupts him and says that he got the hat from Shanks, but the Duke falls asleep suddenly before Luffy can finish. Wanda answers that it’s already 6PM. Usopp complains that it’s so early, “Is he a little kid?”

Wanda explains that The Mokomo Dukedom has 2 rulers. The official ruler is Duke Inuarashi, however Master Cat-Viper, who protects the sacred Whale Forest shares the power.
The Duke fell alseep suddenly because him and Master Cat-Viper don’t get along at all, to that point that they want to kill each other if they meet faces. Wanda doesn’t know why, but it seems they used to be best friends long ago. They are of equal strength.Credit: Sandman

Io l’ho trovato tradotto con “l’arido” che, per associazione d’idee, potrebbe pure starci col mito da te descritto. Se poi si unisce la definizione che viene data dal suo sottoposto, direi che è alquanto calzante (in quanto il suo passaggio porterebbe a essa)
con la carestiaSe lo script raw che ho trovato corrisponde all’originale, la traduzione letterale sarebbe Jack dei danni della siccità (N.B. uno di essi è la carestia).
Non è facile riuscire a tradurre un soprannome in una lingua differente senza modificarne in parte il significato originale.
Il nome degli altri due capitani “calamitosi” ci dirà se c’è un rimando preciso al Buddismo o solo un riferimento alla lontana :sisi:Ho letto il capitolo su MS. Dunque Jack è un mammuttone?
Trattasi di uno dei tre capitani di Kaido facente parte del gruppo delle calamità.

Il capitolo probabilmente uscirà domani
Probabile che questo sia l’ennesima esempio di quanto sia complicato fare in modo che una traduzione renda bene giochi di parole e frasi volutamente “ambigue”. Wanda aveva probabilmente cercato di dire loro che “il cadavere della vostra ciurma” (cioè Brook) li aspettava nella foresta della pancia destra. Il fatto che in giapponese raramente si fa in modo che i sostantivi siano inequivocabilmente plurali ha reso facile il fraintendimento (ossia che fossero tutti morti). Creare lo stesso effetto traducendo il giapponese in inglese o in italiano (sopratutto non sapendo di doverlo fare) non è semplice.
Sanji si è allontanato dagli altri lasciando un biglietto? Nami e Brook si vergognano di avergli permesso di allontanarsi?
Chissà se Jack è quel mammut :mah:
